About the Role

The Salesforce Developer / Application Engineer (Financial Services Cloud, Data 360 / Data Cloud) will be responsible for building and maintaining nurture journeys and lifecycle journeys (e.g., onboarding, service updates, retention, event communications); supporting content delivery requirements (templates, personalisation inputs, dynamic content needs) in partnership with marketing colleagues; ensuring marketing activity is underpinned by accurate CRM data, preferences and compliant suppression logic.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contributing to the evolution from Marketing Cloud Engagement to Marketing Cloud Next / Advanced, supporting modern, data-driven activation and orchestration patterns.
  • Supporting Data 360 / Data Cloud use cases that enable segmentation and activation by collaborating on data ingestion from Salesforce and external sources; mapping / harmonisation into a consistent data model; identity resolution to unify client profiles; creating/maintaining segments and supporting activation outcomes to channels.
  • Building and supporting integrations between Salesforce, Data Cloud and marketing/engagement platforms using APIs and agreed integration patterns.
  • Working closely with Product Owners, Business Analysts, UX and the Lead Developer to translate business and regulatory requirements into effective technical solutions.
  • Participating in testing, deployment and release activities using Copado, ensuring quality, traceability and adherence to CI/CD standards.
  • Troubleshooting defects and production issues across Salesforce, FSC and marketing/activation-related functionality.
  • Ensuring solutions are delivered with appropriate consideration for data security, consent, regulatory obligations and long-term maintainability.
  • Contributing to documentation and knowledge sharing to support in-house ownership of the platform.

About you

If you meet some of these criteria and are excited about the role, we encourage you to apply:

  • Proven experience developing solutions on the Salesforce platform, with a strong focus on hands-on delivery in complex environments.
  • Solid programmatic Salesforce development skills, including Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL and Flows.
  • Experience working with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud, or similarly complex Salesforce data models.
  • Practical experience supporting or enabling solutions involving Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement, particularly from a technical, data or integration perspective, rather than campaign operations.
  • Experience working with marketing teams to enable campaigns, nurture journeys and content delivery, ensuring they are underpinned by accurate CRM data, segmentation and consent controls.
  • Working knowledge of Data 360 / Salesforce Data Cloud fundamentals, including data ingestion concepts and source awareness, mapping and harmonisation into a unified data model, identity resolution concepts to support unified client profiles, and segmentation and activation concepts to downstream channels.
  • Understanding of how client data, preferences and consent are used to support compliant client communications in a regulated environment.
  • Experience designing, building or supporting Salesforce integrations using REST/SOAP APIs and integration frameworks.
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery methods and working within a product-led team.
  • Experience using CI/CD and deployment tools, ideally Copado.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I certification (or working towards).

Preferred:

  • Experience delivering Salesforce solutions within financial services, wealth management or other regulated industries.
  • Exposure to Marketing Cloud Next / Advanced concepts, particularly where enabled by Data Cloud-driven segmentation and activation.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Data Cloud configuration activities.
  • Salesforce Financial Services Cloud Accredited Professional, Data Cloud or Marketing Cloud-related certification.
