SupporttheServiceManagerandPrincipalTransportPlannertooverseethedevelopmentandschemepreparationstagesofnewactivetravelschemes,throughtothecommencementofconstructionandhandovertooperationaldelivery.
Managesprojectsastheschemetransitionsintoconstruction.
Co-ordinateswiththevariousstakeholderstoagreerobustproposals,appropriateengagementfromallnecessaryparties,commissioningofnecessarytechnicalactivityandsecuringofnecessaryapprovalsandconsents.
ThefocusofthisrolewillbeontheActiveTravelProgramme,butthesuccessfulcandidatewillberequiredtobecomeinvolvedinotherteamandinterdisciplinaryprojects.

ResponsibleforsupportingtheServiceManager-TransportSchemesCommissioningforallmattersrelatedtothecommissioningofnewmajorandminortransportinfrastructureschemestoensureswiftprogressismaintainedthroughthelifeofthescheme.
CommissioningMajorTransportInfrastructureSchemes
Overseethedevelopmentandschemepreparationstagesofnewschemesfollowingtheapprovaltocommenceastrategicoutlinebusinesscase,throughtothecommencementofconstructionandhandovertooperationaldelivery.
Manageprojectswiththeauthorityandresponsibilitytoruntheprojectonaday-to-daybasisupuntiltheappointmentandinvolvementofanNECprojectmanager(contractmanager)astheschemetransitionsintoconstruction.
Co-ordinateactivityworkingwiththevariousstakeholderstoagreerobustproposals,appropriateengagementfromallnecessaryparties,commissioningofnecessarytechnicalactivityandsecuringofnecessaryapprovalsandconsents.
EnsureClientresponsibilitiesaremetundertheConstructionDesignandManagement(CDM)2015regulations.
Responsibilitiesinclude:ActiveTravelProjectManager
Initiateprojectinceptionandassociatedprocesses.oEstablishappropriategovernance(projectandprogramme)andagreeprojectrolesandresponsibilities.
WiththeProgrammeManagementOffice,establishtheprojectorganisationandreinforcetheroles,responsibilitiesanddeliverablesforeachteammember.
Co-ordinatetheactivitiesofamulti-disciplineprojectteamwhichmayconsistofdevelopment,design,construction,commercial,planning,testing,andcommissioningandsupportresources.
SupporttheServiceManagerinprogressingbusinesscasedevelopmentfromthestrategicoutlinebusinesscasestagethroughtofullbusinesscase.
