MainPurposeofJobOperationsManager
ToleadandmanagetheHousingManagementandIncomeRecoveryService,ensuringtheeffectivemanagementoftemporaryaccommodation,maximisationofrentalincome,deliveryofexcellentcustomerservicesandcompliancewithstatutoryduties,Councilpoliciesandcorporateobjectives. TosupporttheHeadofTemporaryAccommodation&PrivateRentedSectorindeliveringstrategicandoperationalpriorities,drivingserviceimprovements,achievingvalueformoneyandensuringpositiveoutcomesforhouseholdsintemporaryaccommodation.
MainResponsibilities/Accountabilities/KRAOperationsManager
ThejobholderwillbeexpectedtocompletethefollowingresponsibilitieseffectivelyinordertodeliverthekeyobjectivesoftheCouncil:
- LeadandmanagetheHousingManagementandIncomeRecoveryService,ensuringtheeffectivedeliveryofoperationalandstrategicobjectives.
- Ensurethetemporaryaccommodationportfolioismanagedeffectivelyandinaccordancewithstatutoryrequirements,Councilpoliciesandbestpractice.
- Leadonrentalincomecollection,arrearsreductionandincomemaximisationactivities,ensuringhighcollectionratesandminimisingfinancialrisktotheCouncil.
- Monitorandmanagecontracts,accommodationprovidersandcommissionedservices,ensuringcompliance,valueformoneyandhigh-qualityservicedelivery.
- Developandmaintaineffectivepartnershipswithinternalandexternalstakeholderstosupportthepreventionandreliefofhomelessness.
- Ensuretheeffectiveallocationandmanagementoftemporaryaccommodation,makingbestuseofavailableresourcesandsupportingvulnerablehouseholds.
- Leadonperformancemanagement,serviceimprovementandqualityassuranceactivitiestoachieveyear-on-yearimprovementsinservicedeliveryandoutcomes.
- Managecomplexcases,complaints,Memberenquiries,Ombudsmaninvestigations,legalchallengesandjudicialreviewmattersasrequired.
- Lead,motivate,developandsupportstaffthrougheffectivesupervision,performancemanagement,recruitmentandtraining.
- Contributetopolicydevelopment,budgetmanagement,procurementactivitiesandorganisationalchangeprogrammes.
- Ensureeffectiveuseofmanagementinformation,performancedataandITsystemstosupportservicedelivery,reportinganddecisionmaking. xgikmsk
