ResponsibleforthedaytodayallocationandmanagementofTemporaryAccommodation,andtoprovidesupportandadvicetoresidentstoassistthemtomoveonfromtemporaryaccommodation.Toensurecompliancewithlegislativeanddefinedstandards,contractualarrangementsandserviceobjectives.
Thepost-holderwillberequiredtoundertakeresponsibilitiesacrossTemporaryAccommodationPlacementsandTemporaryAccommodationManagementasdirected.TemporaryaccommodationincludesaccommodationprovidedpursuanttoPart7oftheHousingAct1996,andanyothertemporaryaccommodationprovisionoutsideofthisAct,includingtemporaryaccommodationprovidedforotherservices.

1.Allocateavarietyoftemporaryaccommodationunitsincludingemergencyaccommodation,andcontrolandconductallactivitiesleadingtoadmissionsanddischargeswhereappropriateinordertoachievethemostefficientandeconomicuseofaccommodationavailable.
2.Minimisetheinappropriateuseofsharedaccommodationforfamilieswithchildrenandensurethatallclientsareeffectivelytracked,monitoredandmovedonfromtemporaryaccommodationwhereappropriate.
3.Effectivelyliaisewithandmanagethedaytodayrelationshipswithemergencyaccommodationprovidersandoutofhoursservices,providingadviceandmonitoringtheirperformanceinthemosteffectiveuseoftemporaryaccommodationstock.

1.EffectivelymanagetheCouncilsvariedportfoliooftemporaryaccommodation(includingleased,hostels,directlets,B&BandAnnexeplacementsandallothertypesoftemporaryaccommodation)ensuringpropertiesareofgoodstandard,aresuitableandfitforpurpose.
2.Manageandcoordinatethetimelyhand-backsofleasedaccommodationtotheirownersormanagingagentsandnegotiatenewleasesandrenewalswithagenciesandlandlordsensuringsuitableTAissuppliedthroughprovidersthatsatisfydemandinlinewiththeCouncilsstatutoryprovisionsandmoveonrequirements.
3.Proactivelyworkonacaseworkbasiswithalltemporaryaccommodationresidentsoccupyingleased,hostels,directlets,B&BandAnnexeplacementsandallothertypesoftemporaryaccommodationtoassistthemtomoveonfromtemporaryaccommodation.CloselymonitorandtrackhouseholdsoccupyingTAtoensurethattheyneedsarefullyassessedandmetintheprovisionofaccommodationandensurehouseholdsarepromptlymovedononce...
