Purpose: Electrical Engineer * The Electrical Engineerwillprovidetechnicalexpertise, design, maintenanceoversight, compliancesupportandoverseeelectricalworkstoelectricalsystemsacrosstheorganisation'spropertyportfolio. * Thepostholderwillleadandsupportthedevelopment, design, governanceanddeliveryofsafe, compliant, low-carbonandcost-effective M&Esolutionsacrossthe Council'smanagedestate, ensuringalignmentwiththe Council'sclimatecommitments, statutoryobligations, andbestpracticeengineeringstandards. * Therolewillcontributetowardsthecouncil'sambitionsforthedesignofelectricalsystemsthatarelowcarbon.

Thepostholderwillbeinvolvedinmodernisingtheelectricalsystemstobeenvironmentallyfriendlyandalignedwiththe London Boroughof Barnetlowcarboninitiatives.

Therolewillalsohaveresponsibilityforexternalcontractorsandpartners. 2.

Keyaccountabilities: Electrical Engineer 1.

Toassist, advise, support, designandreviewelectricalengineeringsolutionsforthelocalauthority'smanagedestate. 2.

Wherethepostholderisappropriatelyqualifiedandexperienced, thismayincludeadvice, design, contractadministrationandsupportofmechanicalengineeringinadditiontoelectricalengineering. 3.

Supportandadvisethe Local Authorityoncompliance, bestpracticeandstatutorycomplianceofelectricalcomponents. 4.

Toworkwithinamulti-disciplinarytechnicalteamastheelectricalengineersupportingtheteam, ensuringdeadlinesaremetinlinewithrealisticexpectationsindeliveringelectricaldesign, defectdiagnosisreports, fullspecificationofworks/scheduleofworks, feasibilitystudies, conditionsurveys, budgetcosts, Contract 5.

Tocarryoutdesignworksandfeasibility 6.

Toproduce, manageanddesignof CADDrawingsfordesign 7.

Toleadandactincapacityofcontractadministrator(whereappointed)undertakingregularsiteinspectionsandreports. 8.

Todevelopandreviewdetailedreports, specificationsand 9.

Toreviewandadviseontechnical 10.

Toliaisewiththeclientandotherteammemberstoensuredeliverablesaremetandvalueformoneyisprovided. 11.

Toreviewcontractualprogressinlinewithclientobjectivesand KPI's. 12.

Attendandbeavailabletobewithteammemberson 13.

Tobuildandmanagepositiverelationshipswithallstakeholdersincludingelected Members, Third Sectororganisations, publicsectorpartners, tenants, developers, otherlandownersandclientdepartments. 14.
