MainPurposeofthejob: CommercialSalesManager
Topromotethecouncilscommercialservices,maximisingincomethroughdirectsalesandtheprovisionofinformationandadvicewithrespecttoeffectivewasteandresourcemanagement. Thiswillincludetakingaproactivestanceonbusinesscompliancewithregulatoryrequirementsandprogressingenforcementactionwhereappropriate.
Tonegotiatewastecollectionanddisposalagreementswitharangeofcommercialandindustrialbusinesses,thirdsectororganisations,schools,collegesandotherorganisations,increasingthemarketshareofthecouncilsCommercialWasteservice. Toensurethatallcommercialwasteisproperlystored,handled,collectedanddisposedinaccordancewithcurrentlegislationandservicerequirements,makinguseofappropriateenforcementpowersandworkingcloselywiththeEnforcementTeamtoensurecompliance.
Toprovidecustomersandpotentialcustomerswithsoundandprofessionaladviceonthebestservicearrangementsfortheirparticularneeds,maximisingrecyclingactivitieswherepossible.
