We are recruiting for an experienced Registered Building Inspector (RBI) to join a local authority Building Control service in Bromley.
This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Building Inspector to undertake technical assessments, site inspections, and compliance decisions across a range of construction projects, ensuring buildings meet the required safety and regulatory standards.
Key
Responsibilities: Carry out plan assessments and site inspections within your registration level and competence.
Ensure compliance with the Building Safety Act, Building Act, Building Regulations, and associated legislation.
Manage a varied caseload of building projects, including complex developments.
Provide technical advice and support to applicants, contractors, and stakeholders.
Undertake enforcement action where required.
Assess dangerous structures and coordinate appropriate remedial action.
Support and supervise junior/lower-class Registered Building Inspectors where appropriate.
Requirements: Registered Building Inspector qualification.
Strong knowledge of Building Control legislation and regulatory requirements.
Experience undertaking inspections, assessments, and enforcement work.
