We are seeking a motivated and skilled Scaffolder to join our dynamic construction team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and dismantling scaffolding structures on various construction sites. Your expertise will ensure the safety and stability of temporary work platforms used by workers at heights, enabling efficient progress on diverse projects. Duties:
- Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding structures using hand tools and power tools in accordance with safety standards and project specifications.
- Inspect scaffolding regularly to ensure stability, safety, and compliance with regulations.
- Collaborate with construction teams to plan scaffold layouts that support specific tasks such as roofing, masonry, or electrical installations.
- Use carpentry skills to secure scaffolding components and ensure proper alignment and support.
- Assist with fabrication of custom scaffold components as needed for unique site requirements.
- Follow all safety protocols during assembly, disassembly, and ongoing maintenance of scaffolding structures.
- Maintain detailed records of scaffold inspections, modifications, and safety checks.
Experience:
- Proven experience in scaffolding installation and dismantling on commercial or industrial construction sites.
- Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations related to scaffolding work.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as hammers, wrenches, levels, and plumb bobs; proficient with power tools including drills and saws.
- Familiarity with related trades such as carpentry, roofing, plumbing, masonry, welding, electrical work, and construction painting is highly advantageous.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and scaffold plans.
- Experience fabricating or modifying scaffold components to meet specific project needs.
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks in various weather conditions.
