Main Purpose of Job: The Purchase to Pay team undertakes the purchasing of goods and services on behalf of teams across Nottinghamshire from a wide variety of Vendors.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Working within the teams inbox and your own worklist, you will be following agreed procedures when raising orders using BMS/SAP.
  • Liaising with requisitioners, vendors, and other departments to resolve queries and issues and providing guidance on processes.
  • Chasing approval of invoices and confirming goods receipt for payment.

General Information: The team is busy and the work fast-paced and will heavily draw on your organisational skills and your proactive approach to your work. Accuracy, numeracy, and the ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure are essential requirements of the post along with excellent administrative and clerical skills using a methodical approach and working within business support standards and processes. You must be competent and have experience in using common Microsoft Office packages e.g. Teams, Excel, and databases, as data inputting is a key task you will be asked to complete. Training will be provided on all aspects of the role and systems used by experienced colleagues in a supportive and safe environment. The postholder will be required to comply with the organisation's policies and procedures. The organisation has a no smoking policy. Staff are not permitted to smoke on any of the organisation's premises nor in any vehicle used on organisation business. This Job Description covers the main duties and responsibilities of the job and will be subject to review and amendment, in consultation with the postholder, to meet the changing needs of the organisation. If a suitable candidate is identified, we would have a preference for an As Soon As Possible start date.
