Job Description
- Support the Envoys and act in the public interest and maintain impartiality throughout the Check, Challenge and Validate process,
- Review all documents prior to Check, Challenge and Validate sessions,
- Examine whether each area is managed and monitored effectively with sufficient controls, this includes:
? whether the area delivers in an open, transparent, consistent, and fair manner.
? If decisions free from improper political or third-party influence?
? If the area is underpinned by robust governance and controls to deliver its intended outcomes, without favour for one community group to the detriment of others?
- The Check, Challenge &Validate process is a short, light-touch agile way to scrutinise and test evidence, identify good practice, and agree priority recommendations for improvement in the area under review.
- This approach aligns with good scrutiny practice, emphasising effective challenge, and accountability for continuous improvement.
- Explore if the hypothesis for the deep dive has been proven- Check,
- Challenge- Stress-test the assumptions and interpretation of the findings,
Validate ? confirm if insights, conclusions and recommendations are supported by evidence.
