Workinginpartnershipwiththe Ministryof Housing, Communitiesand Local Government(MHCLG), the Building Safety Programmesupportsbuildingownersintakingimmediatestepstosafeguardresidentsandinmakinginformeddecisionsregardinginterimmeasuresandremedialworks.
Thepostholderisresponsibleforcollectingandreviewingexternalwallsystems(EWS)data, specificallyfocussingonthosewithcombustiblecladding.
Theaimistoensurethatrisksofunsafecladdingandanyotheridentifiedfiresafetydeficienciesareevaluatedandaddressedappropriately.

Responsibilities: Interim Building Safety Manager Undertakeinitialdesktopreviewofprivatelyownedhighandmediumriseresidentialbuildingswithinthe Borough.
Developarisk-basedinspectionprogrammeofmediumandhigh-riseresidentialbuildings, collectdataonexternalwallsystems(EWS)andcontactdetailsofthebuildingproprietors.
Review EWSdata, FRAEWreports, andotherassociateddocuments, categorisebuildingsbasedonrisklevelsandreferfurtheractiononbuildingswithsuspectedunsafecladding, includinganyotheridentifiedfiresafetydeficiencies, totheinternalenforcementteamspecifyingtheirriskpriorityrating.
Engagewithproprietorsofbuildingswithsuspectedunsafecladdingtoobtainadditionalinformationoncladdingmaterials, Interimfiresafetymeasures, remediationfundingandremediationworkstimelines.
Review Building Safety Fundand Cladding Safety Schemedataonremediationfundingandidentifyanymissingbuildings.
Developeffectiveworkingrelationshipswiththelocal Fireand Rescue Service, MHCLGandotherstakeholderstoobtainandsharedataonbuildingswithunsafecladding.
Attendtoenquiriesfrombuildingproprietors, localcouncillorsandotherstakeholdersinatimelyandprofessionalmanner.
Workcollaborativelywiththeinternalenforcementteamtosupportinvestigations, inspections, andenforcementactionswherenecessary.
Contributetocontinuousimprovementinitiatives, includingteamprocesses, datamaintenance, KPIreporting, teammeetingsandotheroperationalactivities.
Attendtoanyotherdutiesasrequiredbythe Senior Management, inlinewiththeobjectivesofthe Building Safety Programme.
Workingpattern: Interim Building Safety Manager Theworkpatterninvolvesspendingthreedaysouton-siteundertakingbuildinginspectionsandtwodaysintheofficeforreportingandadministrativetasks.
Qualifications/experience Interim Building Safety Manager Abachelor'sdegreeorequivalentcertificatein Building Surveyingorarelatedfieldisrequired. 5yearsexperiencein Building Safety/Fire Safety/Building Surveying Experienceofundertaking HHSRSSurveys.
Knowledgeofkeylegislationandguidanceincludingthe Building Regulations2010, Housing Act2004, Building Safety Act2022, the Regulatory Reform(Fire Safety)Order2005, Fire Safety Act2021, andthe Fire Safety(England)Regulations2022.
Familiaritywithfiresafetydesignprinciplesforhigh-riseresidentialbuildingsandexternalwallsystems.
Excellentwrittenandoralcommunicationskills.
