Thepostholderwillleadandsupportthedevelopment, design, governanceanddeliveryofsafe, compliant, low-carbonandcost-effective M&Esolutionsacrossthe Council'smanagedestate, ensuringalignmentwiththe Council'sclimatecommitments, statutoryobligations, andbestpracticeengineeringstandards.
Therolewillcontributetowardsthecouncil'sambitionsforthedesignofelectricalsystemsthatarelowcarbon.
Thepostholderwillbeinvolvedinmodernisingtheelectricalsystemstobeenvironmentallyfriendlyandalignedwiththe London Boroughof Barnetlowcarboninitiatives.

Keyaccountabilities: Electrical Engineer Toassist, advise, support, designandreviewelectricalengineeringsolutionsforthelocalauthority'smanagedestate.
Wherethepostholderisappropriatelyqualifiedandexperienced, thismayincludeadvice, design, contractadministrationandsupportofmechanicalengineeringinadditiontoelectricalengineering.
Supportandadvisethe Local Authorityoncompliance, bestpracticeandstatutorycomplianceofelectricalcomponents.
Toworkwithinamulti-disciplinarytechnicalteamastheelectricalengineersupportingtheteam, ensuringdeadlinesaremetinlinewithrealisticexpectationsindeliveringelectricaldesign, defectdiagnosisreports, fullspecificationofworks/scheduleofworks, feasibilitystudies, conditionsurveys, budgetcosts, Contract Tocarryoutdesignworksandfeasibility Toproduce, manageanddesignof CADDrawingsfordesign Toleadandactincapacityofcontractadministrator(whereappointed)undertakingregularsiteinspectionsandreports.
Todevelopandreviewdetailedreports, specificationsand Toreviewandadviseontechnical Toliaisewiththeclientandotherteammemberstoensuredeliverablesaremetandvalueformoneyisprovided.
Toreviewcontractualprogressinlinewithclientobjectivesand KPI's.
Attendandbeavailabletobewithteammemberson Tobuildandmanagepositiverelationshipswithallstakeholdersincludingelected Members, Third Sectororganisations, publicsectorpartners, tenants, developers, otherlandownersandclientdepartments.
Toensurethatalldutiesandresponsibilitiesareperformedinaccordancewiththe Council's Policiesand Proceduresincluding Financial Regulations, Standing Orders, Personnel Policiesand Proceduresetc.
