Health and Safety at the council is vital, ensuring that our staff are supported to carry out their roles safely, minimising risk and sharing best practice.

We are looking for a Corporate Health and Safety Adviser who can join us on a temporary basis, initially for three months, to provide cover whilst the role is recruited to on a permanent basis. This standalone role supports our 675 staff and managers to keep health and safety at the heart of everything we do. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified practitioner who is a member of IOSH to help us to continue to drive health and safety innovation.

You will be advising all levels of staff and, where appropriate, elected Members, on Health and Safety matters, sharing your expertise at health and safety committees, ensuring our policies are up to date and compliant.
