The Library Assistant will deliver the core services of the public library service, relating with customers in a library setting, providing digital support to customers, supporting events and activities for all ages such as rhymetimes and basic IT sessions, while presenting a safe environment for children and vulnerable adults.
The post holder will: Library Assistant
• Have excellent communication and customer service skills to engage with customers and partners
• Library Assistant Have good organisational skills
• Library Assistant Have good ICT skills
• Work effectively as part of a team and also independently using their own initiative
• Have an enquiring mind, and an interest in books and reading is desirable
• Be flexible in respect of working at multiple locations
The post holder will work to a two week schedule including alternate Saturdays.
