Tenancy Enforcement Officer - Tower Hamlets is establishing a new, dedicated team to tackle some of the most pressing challenges facing our homelessness service, improving outcomes for residents while making better and more effective use of temporary accommodation. As part of this high-profile, time-limited programme, we are strengthening our approach to tenancy enforcement to ensure that scarce temporary accommodation is being properly occupied and used by the households for whom it is intended.
Tenancy Enforcement Officer We are looking for an experienced Tenancy Enforcement Officer to support this work. You will proactively identify and investigate suspected non-occupation, subletting, housing fraud and other misuse of temporary accommodation, carrying out inspections, gathering and assessing evidence and pursuing cases through to resolution. Working with colleagues and partner agencies, you will have the confidence and professional judgement to determine the right course of action and, where appropriate, pursue formal enforcement and legal remedies on behalf of the council.
