Key Responsibilities Estates Surveyor Act as the primary point of contact for tenants across the Council's mixed commercial estate. Lead on Landlord and Tenant matters, including: Rent reviews Lease renewals Lease re-gears and negotiations Implementation of new lease agreements Build and maintain positive relationships with tenants, ensuring effective estate management and high levels of engagement. Work closely with legal teams to progress lease documentation and complete transactions in a timely manner. Liaise with finance colleagues to ensure rental income, service charges, and other payments are accurately recorded and reflected within financial and budget monitoring systems. Provide regular reporting on the status of: Lease renewals Rent reviews Tenant negotiations Estate management activities Monitor property income and expenditure budgets, identifying risks and opportunities. Prepare financial forecasts and provide accurate budget reporting to support strategic decision-making. Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, professional standards, and Council policies.
