Job Specific Requirements
- To assist the Housing Options Service in providing a comprehensive service to help clients who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless.
- To process applications for bonds and rent in advance.
- To provide information and advice to clients presenting to the service by telephone, email, web chat and face to face.
- To provide advice to staff, customers and partners (including private landlords, letting agencies and social letting agencies) in relation to private sector accommodation available.
- To process applications from homeless clients and provide support to assessment officers as required.
- To provide assistance to ensure the housing waiting list is up to date.
- To assist in the preparation and presentation of information as required, including statistical information.
- To ensure good communication is maintained within the team, providing cover for other officers and contributing to the work of the team as a whole.
- To carry out any general office duties as reasonably required, including maintaining all necessary records and providing monitoring information as required.
- To work to meet individual and team targets ensuring KPI targets are met.
- To seek to ensure customer satisfaction by working to improve customer service and resolve customer complaints.
- To assist in the co-ordination and operation of any Quality systems adopted by the service area.
- To assist in developing and improving the Service, complying with all legislative requirements and council processes.
- To carry out secure handling of confidential data, complying with Council Policies and Procedures.
