We are seeking an experienced Head of Engineering Operations to lead critical operational functions across programme management, quality assurance, IT infrastructure, and cyber security. This strategic leadership role will drive operational excellence, ensure robust governance, and enable our engineering teams to deliver high-quality outcomes efficiently and effectively.
Founded as a charity in 2008 and selling its first computer in 2012, Raspberry Pi today comprises two separate organisations operating in two locations: Here at Raspberry Pi Ltd, we build best-selling computers, microcontrollers, and supporting software for industrial and embedded customers, as well as home users worldwide. The Raspberry Pi Foundation is a charitable enterprise dedicated to enabling all young people to realise their full potential through computing.
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Operational Strategy: Align programme delivery, quality standards, IT infrastructure, and security practices with broader business objectives.
- Programme and Portfolio Management: Ensure effective planning, resource allocation, and delivery of major initiatives, including establishing appropriate governance structures and providing executive visibility into programme health, risks, and outcomes.
- Quality Management: Define and maintain quality standards across engineering delivery, including test strategies, quality monitoring and root-cause analysis.
- IT Infrastructure and Operations: Deploy and maintain company-wide IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring reliable, scalable, and efficient technology platforms including tooling, EDA and SW licensing.
- Cyber Security Management: Establish and maintain company-wide security posture, implementing security controls, compliance frameworks, and risk management practices (including vulnerability assessments).
Ideal Candidate
You bring extensive experience in engineering operations leadership, with a demonstrated track record of managing complex, interconnected operational disciplines. You have deep expertise in programme management methodologies and have successfully delivered large-scale engineering programmes. Your background includes significant exposure to quality management systems, IT infrastructure, and cyber security practices within technology-focused environments. You are a strategic thinker who can balance multiple priorities while maintaining attention to detail and getting things done. You excel at building cross-functional relationships and can influence stakeholders at all levels. You are hands-on, have strong analytical capabilities, and are comfortable making data-driven decisions. Most importantly, you can translate complex operational challenges into clear strategies and actionable plans.
