Raspberry Pi is hiring a Technical Writer to help our documentation team create and maintain documentation, white papers, and datasheets. With the help of our engineers, hardware, and source code, you'll create written materials that document Raspberry Pi hardware and software. This position is based at our office in Cambridge, UK.

Requirements:

  • Hands-on interest or strong background in technology, preferably with at least some coding experience
  • Experience writing in a technical context
  • Willingness and ability to learn about technology at all levels of the stack: from silicon, to SBCs (single board computers), to operating systems, to documentation infrastructure, to SaaS (Software as a Service)
  • Experience with any of the following will raise the eyebrows of our current documentation team members:
  • Docs-as-code workflows
  • Documentation infrastructure
  • Raspberry Pi hardware
  • Teaching or training in the field of computing
  • Writing tutorials, training materials, or how-to guides in a broadly technical context
  • Git
  • AsciiDoc

We anticipate that applicants may bring a wide range of skills and previous experience across the different elements of the role. Accordingly, there is a wide salary range for this position, with specifics to be discussed with the successful applicant.
