The Raspberry Pi Foundation is looking to appoint a Chief Growth Officer to lead the growth of our educational impact. This is a pivotal role on our Executive team, with direct responsibility for our work in India, Kenya, South Africa, the United Kingdom and Ireland, alongside growing our global network of partner organisations in other countries around the world.
You will be accountable for setting and delivering growth strategies in each of our priority markets, ensuring that our programmes reach the educators and young people who stand to benefit most. You will lead experienced country teams, working closely with them to develop the infrastructure, relationships, and capabilities needed to realise our ambitions at scale. You will also lead our global partnerships function, developing and stewarding relationships with mission aligned organisations that multiply our reach and impact beyond the markets we operate in directly.
This is a demanding and varied leadership role that sits at the intersection of strategy, operations, and external engagement. Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a member of the Executive team, working collaboratively with our Chief Financial Officer, Chief Learning Officer, Chief Marketing Officer, and Chief Technology & Product Officer, and helping to shape the overall direction, culture, and priorities of the organisation.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record of leading the growth of educational programmes in a range of international contexts, and ideally with direct experience working within or alongside education systems in low- and middle-income countries. You will be responsible for a team of over 60 colleagues, including teams in India, Kenya, and South Africa, and you will need to be an accomplished manager and leader. You will have experience of working in at least one of our priority markets, and you will understand what it takes to build trust, navigate complexity, and deliver lasting impact.

Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of growth strategies for the Foundation's priority markets, ensuring that our work in each context is ambitious, evidence-informed, and appropriately tailored to local needs.
- Build, lead, and manage the country and regional teams working in our priority markets, providing them with the clarity, resources, and support to enable them to do great work.
- Lead the Foundation's global partnerships function, developing and managing strategic relationships with mission-aligned partners that extend our reach and impact.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver agreed objectives and key results, working collaboratively across the organisation to coordinate planning and execution.
- Ensure that all programmes and partnerships have clear monitoring and evaluation frameworks aligned to our theory of change, and that we are learning from evidence to improve our impact over time.
- Ensure that all programmes and partnerships implement our commitments to accessibility, inclusion, and safeguarding, prioritising impact for underserved and educationally disadvantaged young people and communities.
- Work collaboratively with the Chief Learning Officer to ensure that all of our work reflects our teaching and learning principles.
- Contribute to business development and fundraising, helping to identify and develop opportunities to expand the Foundation's reach and impact.
- As a member of the Executive team and wider Leadership team, contribute to the strategic direction, culture, and values of the organisation.
Experience and personal attributes
- A strong track record of leading the growth of educational programmes at scale, ideally across multiple countries and in diverse contexts.
- Experience working within or alongside education systems in low- and middle-income countries, with a clear understanding of the opportunities and constraints these settings present.
- Direct experience working in, or a deep knowledge of, one or more of the Foundation's priority markets.
- Experience developing and managing high-value strategic partnerships with governments, international NGOs, and other mission-aligned organisations.
- Proven ability to lead geographically dispersed, multi-cultural teams, with a management style that combines high expectations with genuine support for people.
- A deep and demonstrable commitment to inclusion in education, and experience translating that commitment into programme design, delivery, and evaluation.
- Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the credibility and presence to represent the Foundation at senior levels externally.
- Experience contributing to business development and fundraising, including identifying new opportunities and engaging funders and partners.

The Raspberry Pi Foundation is an independent charity with a global mission to enable all young people to realise their full potential through the power of computing and AI. We empower schools to teach computer science and AI literacy through free curricula, classroom resources, purpose built software tools, and professional development for teachers. We inspire young people to become tech creators through the world's largest networks of coding clubs. We undertake original research that informs our work and which we use to advance the field of computer science education more broadly. All of our resources and learning experiences are available for anyone to use at no cost.
