The role involves developing curricula, resources, and learning experiences that will engage millions of teachers and students. You will have the opportunity to develop resources for the Certificate in Applied Computing, an exciting new digital skills award for learners aged 14‑19.
The certificate includes:
- Online modules covering a broad range of digital skills which will prepare students for modern workplaces.
- Digital portfolios, developed by students to be shared with potential employers.
- Partnerships with industry, schools and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority to ensure the certificate is relevant and reaches as many young people as possible.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A qualification in computer science or a related subject, with a teaching qualification or significant experience of teaching.
- Experience of delivering high quality learning experiences, content, resources, or training in a variety of different settings and contexts.
- Experience of engaging schools and educators to drive student enrolment and completion of education programmes.
- Comfortable with a broad range of technologies, including hardware and software platforms.
- A commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, including on diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Flexibility, adaptability, and a collaborative approach to working with colleagues and external partners.
