The role involves working closely with the finance team to support the Foundation across all its entities. Responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and approving purchase orders and completing centralised purchasing of goods and services for all entities within the Foundation’s group.
- Processing all supplier invoices in Xero, matching them against purchase orders, and supporting colleagues with the invoice approval process.
- Processing all credit card purchase transactions in Xero, matching them against purchase orders, and reconciling all company credit cards.
- Supporting colleagues with travel bookings and processing related invoices in Xero.
- Completing bank reconciliations of all expenditure.
- Managing the finance inboxes and internal ticketing platform.
- Supporting the finance team with processing and filing financial paperwork.
- Providing additional support where required while other members of the finance team are on holiday.
Experience and personal attributes:
- Experience in bookkeeping in an accounts assistant role or similar.
- Literate in MS Office and Google Docs, and competent in all other aspects of a digital working environment.
- Well-organised and able to prioritise tasks and manage expectations effectively.
- Able to work with precision and excellent attention to detail.
- Customer-focused with good communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Experienced in working in a fast-paced environment, and willing to lend support across all departments.
- Experience in using Xero accounting software is desirable.
