Internal Sales Role
Telford Depot:
Halesfield 15, Telford TF7 4ER.
Business:
A major international manufacturer of Ductile Iron pipe and fittings setting up distribution in the UK.
Job Details:
- Primarily an office-based role.
- Contacting new and existing customers to develop product sales of goods and services.
- Technical competence and IT literate with ability to operate Excel based systems.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and telephone manner with clients and internal personnel.
- Previous experience in a distribution-based product sales environment is desirable.
- Processing sales orders, handling returns and managing pricing, discounts and quotations to clients.
- Liaising with suppliers to process purchase orders, develop pricing arrangements and agree discounts, deliveries and shipping of products to site both directly and from stockholding.
- Resolving customer concerns, complaints and negotiating terms as needed.
- A customer-driven individual who is a determined problem solver.
- Maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and market trends for internal and external distribution.
- Recording and updating customer information on internal and external CRM systems.
- Liaising with internal departments to align on customer requirements.
- Providing after-sales support, including follow-up calls and service coordination.
- Excellent communication skills with a passion for sales and building long-term customer relationships.
- Self-disciplined and organised with the ability to work independently.
- Ability and experience in working in a team approach with external sales personnel to deliver sales.
- Attendance at trade shows, conferences or product launches may be required by the business.
- Office based location in Telford area.
- Full UK Driving licence required.
- Full clearance to work in the United Kingdom required.
