Our Mission... Working Together to end Sexual Violence. RASAC P&K is an established 3rd sector feminist, survivor centred organisation, we work towards our mission by providing a range of Support, Prevention and Advocacy services for survivors of sexual violence living across Perth and Kinross.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated and committed Young People and Families Therapeutic Support Worker to join our friendly, dedicated team. This role is primarily working with young people aged 12-24, however there will be some work with adult survivors and family members too. At RASAC, we take a whole-person approach. This means the role is varied and may involve supporting young survivors who experience challenges with trust, self-esteem, self-care, relationships, or education. Some may also use self-harm or substances as coping strategies.
Key responsibilities
- Support young survivors in a range of situations and settings (centre, schools, GP surgeries, other public locations).
- Maintain safe boundaries and adapt your approach to meet the needs of each young person.
- Engage in reflective practice, challenge yourself and others appropriately and share knowledge and learning with colleagues.
- Travel to various locations across Perth and Kinross; a full driving licence and access to a vehicle are required.
Qualifications and requirements
- Experience supporting others, especially young people, or working in a therapeutic or care setting.
- Kind, empathetic, and non-judgmental with a consistent and reliable work ethic and ability to work within a culture that values respect, integrity, and innovation.
- Willingness to reflect, adequately challenge both yourself and others, and actively share knowledge and learning with colleagues.
- Full driving licence and access to a vehicle.

What we offer
- Paid monthly external supervision, as well as monthly supervision with line manager.
- Competitive salary £32,472 pro‐ratá.

- Generous annual leave of 42 days per year pro‐ratá (inclusive of public holidays).

- Full induction, including training across a broad range of relevant areas such as Boundaries and Confidentiality, Support Skills, Childhood Sexual Abuse, Suicide and Self‐harm, Feminism and Gender Based Violence and Commercial Sexual Exploitation.
Working hours and contract
Due to internal opportunities and movement within the team, we have a 30‐hour post and 35‐hour post available. Both posts are fixed‐term until March 2027 and future funding will be actively sought. We have been successful in seeking ongoing funding for these posts since the Young People and Families project launched in 2016. We are currently trialling a 4‐day week for full‐time workers. Should this not be continued, the 35‐hour would revert to being worked across 5 days Mon‐Fri, with occasional out of hours work.
