Opportunity for a Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing team in Cheltenham, GL50 3LH. Our workplace in Cheltenham offers high quality open plan workspace, natural light, a large kitchen dining space, sun terrace, gym, showers, bike storage, meeting rooms and break out spaces. About 40 of our people are based in Cheltenham including civil engineering, transport planning, water environment, landscape architecture and business services team members. We are a multidisciplinary environmental and engineering consultancy with over 90 people across the UK.

Responsibilities

  • Manage small to large company projects, from inception through to implementation, to the highest standards.
  • Assist with day‑to‑day management of a sub‑team of engineers, responsible for resourcing and signing off timesheets.
  • Liaise with stakeholders, external project team members and clients.
  • Provide support to Associates regarding the financial management of projects and proposals.
  • Prepare Drainage Strategies and engineering reports to support planning applications.
  • Prepare technical drawings such as preliminary highway designs, drainage and external works designs, ground modelling, S104, S278 and S38 drawings, including for subsequent negotiation through to approval.
  • Actively carry out business development for the company.
  • Provide technical training to junior staff.
