Opportunity for a Graduate Landscape Architect to join our growing, multidisciplinary team in Cheltenham, GL50 3LH, in September 2026 or earlier if your circumstances allow. As a Graduate Landscape Architect at Rappor you’ll work closely with the existing team of Technical Director, Principal, Senior, Landscape Architect, on high quality design and planning projects in the UK, many of which are local to us, in Gloucestershire and the wider region.
It’s a great place to learn, with a strong team and a diverse portfolio of Landscape Architecture projects to practice and hone your skills and support you through Chartership. We operate as integrated designers alongside our colleagues in other disciplines such as Transportation and Water Environment and as a standalone service.
Your day-to-day as a Graduate Landscape Architect with us will include (with the guidance and support of colleagues):
- The preparation of illustrative design information working through all the RIBA stages including landscape strategy plans and landscape masterplans, to support a range of developments.
- Provide input for Landscape and Visual Impact Assessment (LVIA’s), landscape planning documents and design & access statements.
- The preparation of detailed technical drawings and specifications, including detailed planting plans for planning purposes and for implementation of external landscape works on site.
- Represent the company at meetings, public consultations and exhibitions with colleagues.
- Undertake site visits with colleagues.
What we are looking for in our next intake of Graduate Landscape Architects:
- Diploma or Masters degree in Landscape Architecture.
- Demonstrate and articulate your talent and motivation to become a Landscape Architect.
- Some knowledge of our software tools- AutoCAD/ Vectorworks/ Keyscape and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to research and to write high quality reports (typically demonstrated through your studies or work experience).
- Experience in collaborative working, with good people skills and able to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders and colleagues.
- Engaged by and believe in our values and show this through your behaviour.
- Full UK driving licence.
- The Right to Work in the UK indefinitely (we are unable to provide visa sponsorship now or in the future).
