Full time Permanent Opportunity for an Associate/ Principal Landscape Architect (Planning) to join our growing team, based out of Cheltenham, GL50 3LH, with flexibility to work remotely up to 80%. Our new workspace in Cheltenham includes excellent desk space, views over Cheltenham and natural light, a large kitchen dining space flowing onto a sun terrace, a gym, showers, bike storage, meeting rooms, and break out spaces. We invest in creating a special workspace for our people to enjoy.
About 40 of our people are based out of Cheltenham, including civil engineering, transport planning, water environment, landscape architecture, and business services team members. Your role:
- Project manage small to large landscape planning projects, from inception through to implementation.
- Prepare landscape planning reports, as well as input into site promotion documents and design and access statements.
- Produce illustrative design information including landscape strategy plans and landscape masterplans, to support a range of developments.
- Follow good practice by updating company templates and staying abreast of changes to legislation, regulations, design codes, and standards.
- Provide on-the-job mentoring to junior staff and technical advice to colleagues within the landscape team and in the wider business.
- Provide support with the financial management of projects.
- Assist with the day-to-day management of junior staff, responsible for resourcing and signing off timesheets.
- Prepare and manage fee proposals, bids, and tenders for new work.
- Actively carry out business development for the company.
- Liaise with colleagues, stakeholders, external project team members, and clients.
- Represent the company at appeals, meetings, public consultations, and exhibitions with colleagues.
- Undertake site visits.
Our requirements:
- Chartered Landscape Architect.
- Working knowledge of our software tools - AutoCAD/ Vectorworks/ Keyscape and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Ability to research and write high-quality reports (demonstrated through your work experience).
- Experience in collaborative working, with good people skills and able to communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and colleagues.
