Your Role
In the Data Analytics team you will ensure both the voice of the customer and CFO are represented in the room with hard evidence. As well as supporting exceptional customer experiences using data, you will help ensure every action we take directly improves performance against your clients’ objectives. As an Analyst, you will work under supervision to deliver projects within set deadlines, utilizing your strong hands‑on analytical capabilities. Your strengths in Python and SQL will ensure you can efficiently deliver robust analytics with guidance from your team. Your experience with web and social analytics tools (GA, Adobe, Brandwatch, Sprinklr) and data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) will enable you to uncover key insights across channels and create self‑service dashboards. You will be comfortable working as part of a team with supervision from seniors, whilst being able to execute analysis independently. Under the guidance of senior members of the team, you support answering strategic questions using data and forge an understanding of how to deliver personalisation at scale.
Responsibilities
- Mentorship: Learn how to become a manager, follow the direction of your line manager and manage upwards as needed.
- Client engagement: Understand clients’ objectives, KPIs, and deliver on briefs. Build relationships with client‑side analysts. Challenge briefs and ambition. Support the creation of statistically significant measurement and reporting. Communicate analytical outputs and ensure deliverables are completed on time with presentation quality.
- New Business / PR: Be aware of new business pitches and work we are doing; participate in thought pieces, case studies, award entries.
- Network: Understand our network and other players within it.
- Evolution: Focus on continuous learning—develop core analytical skills, understand strengths and weaknesses, and train accordingly.
Skills and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a quantitative subject (Statistics, Mathematics, Economics) or Social Sciences, with heavy emphasis on quantitative methods; Master’s degree or PhD is a plus. Degree not required with appropriate work experience.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in marketing analytics, customer experience insights, performance optimisation, ideally in a marketing agency or management consulting practice.
- Proficiency in core analytical languages and software (Excel, SQL, Python, Alteryx) and statistics.
- Experience with data visualisation tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, etc.) and web/social analytics (GA, Adobe, Brandwatch, Sprinklr).
- Understanding of value engineering/business casing, performance measurement frameworks, data protection/GDPR, customer journey analysis, brief planning, progressive data capture, segmentation and modelling, martech design, and ecosystem tracking (tagging, taxonomy).
- Developing knowledge of experimental/multivariate test design techniques and 1st, 2nd and 3rd party data.
- Confident, conscientious, self‑starter with a good work ethic; capable of building good working relationships with clients and teammates.
- Natural curiosity, imagination, and practical problem‑solving approach.
- Experience jumping in to find problems across data and process and fixing them.
- Ability to work independently and with a team in an agile, fast environment, and to develop and adapt repeatable processes for efficiency and consistency.
