We are seeking a meticulous and hands-on Tube Assembly Technician to join our team in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray tubes. This role is based in a controlled clean room environment and is essential to maintaining high standards of quality and precision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test a range of electro-mechanical sub-assemblies and systems
  • Follow clean room protocols and detailed work instructions and drawings
  • Maintain accurate build records and complete process check sheets
  • Use specialist tools and test equipment as required
  • Report inventory movements and ensure consumables are stocked
  • Raise NCRs for any material or quality issues
  • Ensure all equipment used is within calibration and components are handled correctly
  • Support the safety and protection of equipment, products, and colleagues

Requirements:

  • Experience in clean room or vacuum technology environments (desirable but not essential)
  • Background in high-tech or low-volume manufacturing (preferred)
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Competence in mechanical handling and safe working practices

Shift Pattern:

  • Early Shift: Monday-Thursday 06:00-14:00, Friday 06:00-13:30
  • Late Shift: Monday-Thursday 14:00-22:00, Friday 13:30-21:00
  • Flexibility required to cover shifts for holidays and sickness
  • Initial training may be on a fixed shift for up to 3 months
