About the Role - We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our dynamic team. Reporting to the Technical Sales and Sales Applications department, this role collaborates with the Sales Operations group to address technical requirements from customers. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background within X-ray Imagery Equipment (Security/Medical), meticulous attention to detail, and excellent written communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Create and deliver presentations to customers at various stages of the sales cycle, from initial prospecting to proposal presentation.
- Listen, understand, and clearly communicate customer requirements.
- Prepare written customer requirement documents.
- Perform detailed site surveys to define correct system configurations that meet customer and application requirements.
- Collaborate with Sales Operations and others to create winning proposals.
- Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs, including creating compliance matrices and technical write-ups for proposal content.
- Identify non-compliant items in proposals and work with Product Management and Engineering to determine appropriate responses.
- Work directly with Engineering and PLM to support the development and maintenance of technical product specifications.
- Educate customers and company sales channels on company products, technologies, and capabilities.
- Support customer factory visits by creating and delivering presentations and conducting product demonstrations.
- Develop demonstration assets that effectively highlight product capabilities.
- Conduct evaluations to assess product effectiveness against customer requirements.
- Remain flexible and willing to adapt plans with minimal impact.
Qualifications - Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Physics, or Computer Science preferred).
Required Skills:
- 5 years of experience as a technical matter expert with large X-ray integrated systems.
- Strong presentation and written communication skills.
- Direct experience writing technical proposals and system requirements documentation.
- Willingness to travel worldwide in support of customer sales opportunities.
