The Opportunity: We are looking for an experienced Tube Assembly Technician - Welder to join our manufacturing team. This role plays a vital part in the assembly and fabrication of large X-ray tubes, with a primary focus on precision TIG welding within our tube production area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform the setup, alignment, and welding of precision stainless steel components.
  • Take ownership of health, safety, and compliance within the welding area.
  • Inspect your own work and support quality assurance activities.
  • Identify production issues and improvement opportunities.
  • Support production targets while maintaining quality standards.
  • Maintain clean room standards and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experienced in TIG welding and precision fabrication.
  • Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to quality.
  • Able to work independently and support different production areas.
  • UHV technology, autogenous welding, UHV leak testing, and clean room experience are advantageous.

Qualifications and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes.

  • Trained in compressed gas handling procedures.
  • HNC/ONC in an Engineering or Scientific discipline desirable but not essential.

Working Pattern: Rotating early and late shift pattern with occasional overtime opportunities.
