We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Rapiscan detection systems. This hands-on, customer-facing role covers the full range of RTT, CT, Checkpoint, BPI, and Trace products, primarily around Heathrow with occasional travel across the South, UK/Ireland, and overseas. Must be based in Heathrow/Gatwick locations.
Key Responsibilities:- Install, repair, and maintain Rapiscan systems at customer sites
- Conduct routine preventative and breakdown maintenance
- Provide out-of-hours standby cover as part of established teams
- Deliver basic operator and technical training when required
- Carry out site surveys and advise customers on technical matters
- Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software faults
- Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
- Provide feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management, and QA for continuous improvement
- Experience in a customer-facing engineering role
- Flexibility to travel, often at short notice
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and customer pressure
- Recognised engineering qualifications (BTEC, City & Guilds HNC or equivalent)
- Strong electronics and computer knowledge, with Microsoft Office proficiency
- IT networking knowledge (CCNP or equivalent preferred)
