Role Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electromechanical Technician to join our manufacturing team.
In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for building, integrating, testing and supporting complex electro-mechanical equipment used in advanced X-ray inspection systems.
Key Responsibilities Assemble and integrate complex X-ray scanner systems, including mechanical assemblies, cabling, PCBs, servers, cooling systems and high-voltage power supplies.
Build products from engineering drawings, schematics and standard work instructions.
Carry out repair, rework, fault finding and corrective actions on assemblies.
Ensure high standards of quality through inspection and accurate documentation.
Support inventory, stores and stock control activities when required.
Promote Lean Manufacturing, 5S and continuous improvement initiatives.
Skills and Experience Experience assembling complex electro-mechanical products.
Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude with the ability to interpret technical documentation.
Experience of testing, fault finding and problem solving.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Knowledge GCSEs or equivalent in Maths and English.
Good practical mechanical and workshop skills.
Understanding of electrical and mechanical safety standards.
Experience of Lean Manufacturing and 5S would be advantageous.
Working Hours Monday to
Thursday: 08:00 to 16:00 Friday: 08:00 to 15:30 Future shift working may be required and would attract a shift premium.
