We are seeking a Field Service Engineer to provide installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of Rapiscan detection systems. This hands-on, customer-facing role covers the full range of RTT, CT, Checkpoint, BPI, and Trace products, primarily around Heathrow with occasional travel across the South, UK/Ireland, and overseas. Must be based in Heathrow/Gatwick locations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain Rapiscan systems at customer sites
  • Conduct routine preventative and breakdown maintenance
  • Provide out-of-hours standby cover as part of established teams
  • Deliver basic operator and technical training when required
  • Carry out site surveys and advise customers on technical matters
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, and software faults
  • Complete service documentation and maintain accurate records
  • Provide feedback to Engineering, Product Line Management, and QA for continuous improvement
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience in a customer-facing engineering role
  • Flexibility to travel, often at short notice
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and customer pressure
  • Recognised engineering qualifications (BTEC, City & Guilds HNC or equivalent)
  • Strong electronics and computer knowledge, with Microsoft Office proficiency
  • IT networking knowledge (CCNP or equivalent preferred)
