Rapiscan Systems is an industry leader in detection technology, providing cargo and vehicle inspection systems and services for ports, borders, military, high-threat facilities, and checkpoints to help customers combat terrorism, drug smuggling, illegal immigration, and trade fraud.
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Field Service/Support Engineer to provide high-visibility technical support for our Cargo Vehicle Inspection (CVI) and RTT X-ray Detection Scanner systems across the Wales & Bristol regions with some international travel.
This role involves on-site installation, diagnostics, maintenance, and repair of complex equipment and systems, ensuring optimal operational quality and customer satisfaction.
- Deliver on-site support for CVI and RTT systems, including installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and overhaul of hardware and software components.
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues across hydraulic, electrical, electro-mechanical, and IT subsystems.
- Act as the primary technical liaison between the company and customers, providing guidance on system operation and maintenance.
- Respond to third-line technical support requests from field engineers, distributors, and customer representatives.
- Provide post-acceptance and defect liability support for mobile and airport cargo inspection systems.
- Participate in the installation of static, gantry, and portal CVI/RTT systems as part of a dedicated team.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, including service reports, engineering change requests, and database entries.
Some international travel and UK travel including Bristol & Wales.
