The Engineering Process Administrator will support the Engineering Process Manager (EPM) in the management, review and administration of engineering changes. They will also support the EPM in the management and development of processes to support the needs of the business. The role will be part of a multi-disciplinary engineering team developing new technologies and supporting production of X-ray inspection systems in the security market. The role will also provide administrative support to the wider team as required.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate, prioritise and manage the ECO (Engineering Change Order) process; to determine which ECOs are released and when, and endeavouring to achieve accurate and timely releases.
- Support cross-departmental liaison to aid the seamless introduction of changes released via ECO.
- Conceptualise, develop and implement new processes as needed, as well as improvements to the ECO (and related) processes.
- Provide Engineering, developmental and process support for business aspects as needed, including (but not limited to) work on ECOs and their related aspects, review ECOs, Special Projects, etc.
- To provide administrative support to the wider Engineering team to aid the smooth running of the department.
Qualifications
- Experience of Engineering Change Management, and / or related processes.
- Attention to detail and adherence to defined process flow.
- An open-minded and creative approach to processes, process design and problem solving.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- An engineering background would be advantageous but not essential.
Knowledge, Training and Qualifications if required
- Knowledge of Engineering Change Procedures and / or change management systems (i.e. Agile) would be desirable.
- Full training will be given on the relevant software packages.
