We are recruiting reliable, experienced hard-working warehouse operatives/ counterbalance FLT operators for a building trade customer dealing with loft ladders, sky lights and roof windows in Swadlincote Derbyshire DE11.
Requirements:
- Fluent in English (reading/writing/speaking/understanding).
- Minimum 2 years recent warehouse operative experience.
- Previous experience in Warehouse management systems.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A strong stable work history.
- Physically fit (manual handling products).
- Looking to grow within the company.
- Willing to learn and take on extra responsibilities.
- External Counterbalance and or Reach licence (Desired).
- 12-month experience.
You must be able to travel to the Swadlincote Area for 08:30 am, Monday to Friday (own transport preferred). Overtime available occasionally.
Pay rate: £13.10 per hour. Overtime paid at £19.65 per hour over 37.5 hours.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:00. Early finish on a Friday some weeks. 2x 15-minute break. 1x 30-minute lunch break. 37.5 hours paid.
The Role:
Working in a modern, clean and well-lit environment within the building trade. Dealing with loft ladders, sky lights, roof windows. The initial element of the role of warehouse operative will cover picking, packing, put-away & finalising and loading. As a warehouse operative you will be expected to lift items of various weights up to 20 to 35kg. Using an order-picking scanning gun, you will need to have a good level of numeracy and literacy as you will be expected to locate various items. If you have an external Counterbalance FLT licence, then this would be an advantage; however, most of the work will be manual. Full training will be provided with manual handling and health and safety on the wrapper and the bander. Unloading and booking in goods accurately. Inventory checks and reporting discrepancies. Potential to work with the servicing team going out on service calls with an engineer helping with general labouring work. Occasional Saturday work when required.
