Are you an experienced HGV 2 driver looking for excellent rates of pay, regular weekday work, and premium overtime opportunities? We are currently recruiting reliable and professional HGV 2 drivers for a well-established operation based in Brackmills, Northampton.
What's on Offer?
- £17.00/ hr basic
- £25.50/ hr overtime after 8 hours worked each day
- £25.50/ hr for ALL weekend hours
- Monday to Friday work
- Early starts between 05:00 and 07:00
- Ongoing, consistent work

The Role
As an HGV 2 driver, you will be carrying out store deliveries across the region, ensuring goods are delivered safely, professionally, and on time. This is a customer-facing role, ideal for an HGV 2 driver who takes pride in providing excellent service and representing the business positively.
HGV 2 Driver Tasks:
- Complete daily store deliveries in a safe and efficient manner
- Conduct vehicles walk-round checks before and after each shift
- Ensure all deliveries are completed within scheduled timeframes
- Load security checks and compliance with transport legislation
- Accurately complete delivery paperwork and electronic PODs
- Communicate professionally with store staff, transport teams, and customers
- Adhere to Driver Hours, Working Time Directive, and Road Transport Regulations
- Report any vehicle defects, delays, or incidents promptly
- Maintain high standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service at all times
Requirements for HGV 2 Drivers:
- Minimum 1 year HGV 2 driving experience
- Valid Class 2 licence, CPC, and Digital Tachograph card
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No major endorsements (DD, DR, CD, IN, TT, or similar)
- Strong understanding of driver hours and road transport regulations
