We are currently recruiting HGV Class 2 Drivers for a well-established and respected contract based near Rochester. This is a temp-to-perm opportunity with paid training and immediate starts available.
The Role
- Start times between 04:00am - 06:00am (own transport required)
- Guaranteed 48 hours per week
- Shifts up to 12 hours
- Typically, Monday to Friday (contracted any 5 days from 7, flexibility required during peak periods)
- 58 drops per day
- Vehicles pre-loaded overnight, no loading required
- 2-man delivery crew (working alongside an experienced mate)
Duties Include:
- Delivering kitchens and bedrooms directly to customers' homes
- Deliveries to the room of choice
- Heavy lifting and manual handling required
- Scanning all products upon delivery
- Ensuring deliveries are completed within allocated time windows
- Providing excellent customer service
- Maintaining high standards of professionalism and safety
Delivery areas include: Kent, Sussex, London, Surrey, Hampshire & Oxford.
Requirements
- Valid HGV Class 2 Licence (newly qualified drivers welcome)
- Maximum 6 penalty points
- No DR, DD, CU80 or IN endorsements
- Valid CPC & Digital Tacho Card
- Willing to undergo Drug & Alcohol test
- DBS check required
- Physically fit and comfortable with manual handling
- Strong timekeeping and professional attitude
- Strong customer service skills required
