We are recruiting an experienced Freight Forwarder for our client in Lichfield, Staffs, WS13 This is a permanent role working with one of the transport industry's most well known brands. This is a mixed role that involves elements of transport operations and business development Salary: £37,500pa + bonus opportunity Hours of work: 40 hours pw (days) – actual hours to be discussed at interview Days of work: Monday to Friday The Role: Coordinating shipments both in UK and EU Working is existing client base and exploring new business opportunities Invoicing and pricing Customs entries for overseas shipments Quotes, costing, booking and shipping Tracking shipments from collection to delivery Finding solutions to customer requirements Responding to internal and external emails Dealing with internal and external stakeholders including sub-contract hauliers and other transport providers Required: Experience in the freight forwarding industry (or similar) 2 years transport industry experience (preferred) – ideally in road transport Strong organisational and problem solving skills A collaborative approach with both internal and external stakeholder to ensure both import and export of goods Knowledge of customs requirements, processes and procedures Operational and sales (business development) experience is an advantage Groupage experience (desirable) Rapier Employment has been established in the UK for over 35 years, sp…
