We are recruiting a reliable, experienced hard-working warehouse operative for our aerospace customer in Coleshill, Birmingham, B46. This is a permanent position via Rapier Employment. This company is a market-leading adhesive, sealant and lubricant distributor within the aerospace industry.
The Role:
- Working in a modern, clean and well-lit environment.
- The initial element of the role will cover picking, packing, put-away & finalising – once trained in this element we may look to train in other areas such as Exports and Goods in.
- You will be expected to lift items of various weights up to 15kg.
- Using an order-picking scanning gun, you will need to have a good level of numeracy and literacy as you will be expected to locate various items using a numbered system.
Hours of work: Monday-Friday, 08:30-17:30 (11:30 finish every other Friday). 2x 15 minute break, 1x 30 minute lunch break. 37.5 hours paid.
Pay rate: £24,000 Per Annum (Paid Hourly) - This would increase with the more skills you pick up as you progress. After you have completed your probation, you will also be enrolled into the company's quarterly bonus scheme. During busy periods, overtime is available on Friday afternoons and occasionally on Saturdays.
Duties:
- Receiving inbound shipments.
- Picking, packing, put-away and finalising.
- Checking batch codes/expiry codes/serial numbers to make sure the incoming/outgoing stock is correct.
- Logging the stock into the warehouse management system ready to be put away.
- Other general warehouse duties.
Requirements:
- Recently held a warehouse operative position for a minimum of 12 months or longer.
- Fluent in English (reading/writing/speaking/understanding).
- Minimum 2 years warehouse operative experience.
- Previous experience in data entry.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- A strong stable work history.
- Physically fit.
- A flexible and helpful attitude.
- Looking to grow within the company.
- Willing to learn and take on extra responsibilities.
- Bendi licence or counterbalance (Desired).
- You must be able to travel to the Coleshill area for 08:30 am, Monday to Friday.
- Right to work in the UK.
