Location: Tamworth
Contract Type: Full-time
Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off
Salary: £26,000 per annum
Holiday: 28 days annual leave
Shift Details: Days Fixed: 6am–6pm (1 hour Lunch) Fixed pattern (4 on / 4 off)
Key Responsibilities:
- Gatehouse Duties:
- Manage trailer movements using our Yard Management System
- Coordinate with drivers, shunters, warehouse staff, and the transport office
- Maintain clear radio communication and accurate system updates
- Despatch and debrief drivers using internal IT systems
- Prepare driver boxes and resolve transport-related issues
- Liaise with on-site, customer service, and planning teams
What We're Looking For:
- Previous admin experience (essential)
- Transport or logistics background (preferred)
- Confident using Microsoft Office and transport applications
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- A proactive, reliable work ethic
