We are currently recruiting HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for timber delivery work. This role involves delivering timber products to Wickes stores & Builders Merchants.

Shifts are available across AM and PM operations:

  • Day Drivers: Delivery to Wickes Stores and Builders Merchants. Start time from 04.00am – 8.00am Monday to Friday. No weekend work currently. Strapping of loads. No loading or unloading – all done by the stores. All curtainside trailers.
  • Night Drivers: Collections from RMS Hull and BSW Melton. Delivering product back into BSW Stoke. Strapping of loads. No loading or unloading (all done by the sites). Start times: 17.00 – 19.00hrs Sunday to Thursday. All curtainside trailers. Minimum 8 hours guaranteed pay per shift. Breaks 45-minute deduction for Tacho vehicles.

Completion of driver assessment required.

Driver Requirements:

  • Valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) Licence
  • Digital Tachograph Card & CPC Card (in date)
  • Maximum 6 penalty points (no DR, DG, DD codes – none active or expired)
  • Minimum 6 months licence holding
  • Minimum 3 months driving experience

Pay Structure:

  • Day drivers - £17.69 per hour
  • Trampers - £17.98 Per hour
  • Night drivers - £19.54 Per hour
