NIGHTSHIFT SUPERVISOR – TRANSPORT OPERATIONS

Location: Wednesbury
Shift: Sunday to Thursday, Start Time 20:00
Salary: £36,000 - £38,000 per year (DOE)

About the Role

We’re looking for a proactive and safety-conscious Nightshift Supervisor to lead our transport operations during the night shift. You’ll play a key role in ensuring deliveries are made efficiently, vehicles are compliant, and drivers are well-supported.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety First: Enforce safe working practices and ensure PPE is worn at all times.
  • Driver Support: Induct, brief, and debrief drivers to ensure smooth operations.
  • Vehicle Compliance: Conduct vehicle and trailer checks, report defects, and ensure roadworthiness.
  • Loading Oversight: Prepare trailers for loading and ensure schedules are met without delays.
  • Communication: Maintain clear communication with drivers, loading teams, and the transport office.
  • Customer Focus: Promote a “Can Do” attitude and deliver excellent service.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support audits, training, and development initiatives.
  • Vehicle Movements: Some TUG driving can be involved (full training given - no special licence required)
