We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Transport Clerk to join our Night Operations team at Hinckley. If you have strong organisational skills, thrive in a fast‑paced environment, and are confident working within transport and logistics, we would love to hear from you.
About the Role
As a Transport Clerk, you will be a key member of the Traffic Office team. Your primary responsibility will be to monitor and track Linehaul routes, ensuring HGV drivers arrive for duties on time and that trailers are dispatched according to plan. You will play a crucial role in maintaining operational flow and supporting the wider transport team.
Key Responsibilities
- Monitor Linehaul routes to ensure driver attendance and trailer arrival times align with schedules.
- Communicate any delays, issues, or changes promptly to relevant departments including Hub Operations, Network Operations, Transport, and Security.
- Complete licence checks for agency drivers, ensuring compliance with O Licence Regulations.
- Carry out general administrative duties, including handling incoming calls, managing emails, and dispatching drivers.
- Support Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers with additional admin tasks as required.

- Experience working in a fast‑paced operational environment, ideally within transport or logistics.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise professionally with colleagues at all levels.
- Excellent organisational and time‑management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
