HGV Class 2 Driver – Home delivery. Trafford Park.
Salary: £41,808 per annum + up to £750 quarterly bonus, 48 hours per week. OT payable on the 6th shift only. Temp to perm class 2 position. Newly qualified drivers accepted. Bonus can be reduced by attendance, accidents, scanning, health-and-safety compliance, early/late deliveries.
Responsibilities:- Home delivery of kitchen appliances (physically demanding).
- Work as part of a 2-man crew.
- Porter role: call customers with ETA’s and record deliveries.
- All deliveries must occur within the specified time window and to the customer’s room of choice.
- All items must be scanned.
- Report parking issues during delivery to delivery support or the transport office.
- A record will protect you from tickets.
- Be aware of the 7 cameras on the vehicle – 5 around, 2 in the back – and perform duties according to training.
- Vehicles are loaded overnight; you will only unload at the delivery point.
- Good time-keeping is essential.
- Start times: 4 am to 6 am (must have own transport).
- Shifts can be up to 12 hours long; average hours will equal a 48-hour week.
- Monday to Friday; however the contract allows any 5 days out of 7.
- Peak periods may require flexibility to cover business needs.
- Maximum 6 points.
- No DD, CU80, or IN.
