Immediate About the Role We are seeking an experienced
Class 1 Night Trunk Driver
to join our growing team based in
Castle Vale, Birmingham . This is a permanent, full-time position offering guaranteed weekly hours, excellent benefits, and full training and support from our experienced driving team. Successful candidates will receive comprehensive on-the-job training during their first 2β3 shifts, working alongside one of our experienced drivers. Training will cover loading and unloading procedures, pump truck operation, handheld scanner usage, yard procedures, and health and safety requirements.
Key Responsibilities As a Class 1 Night Trunk Driver, your duties will include: Completing night trunking runs from our Castle Vale depot to the Birmingham and Coventry hubs Conducting trunking work from local Birmingham customers to Birmingham and Coventry hubs Carrying out trailer swaps where required Tipping and reloading at the hubs Operating double-deck trailers safely and efficiently Opening and securing double-deck trailer curtains Completing collections and additional deliveries where operationally required Ensuring all vehicle and health & safety procedures are followed at all times Please note there may be periods of downtime at the hubs during the early hours whilst awaiting loading. Working Hours
Monday to Friday nights Start times between
16:00 and 18:00 Full-time permanent position Requirements To be considered for this role, you must: Hold a valid
Class 1 (Category C E) HGV Licence Have held your HGV licence for a minimum of
2 years Be aged
23 or over
(insurance and experience requirements apply) Have no more than
6 penalty points Have experience operating
double-deck trailers Be comfortable loading, unloading, tipping, and reloading trailers Demonstrate flexibility to meet operational requirements Have a professional and reliable approach to work Training & Support All new drivers receive a structured induction and are paired with one of our experienced drivers for their first
