Road Transport Industry experience is required for this role. We have an exciting role for an experienced Transport Office Clerk working with one of the world's biggest logistics providers in conjunction with one of the world's best-known prestige car brands. We are looking for a hard-working, ambitious, and flexible individual with a solid work history and strong work ethic. The role will be based at the Erdington site. This is an on-going agency position with the potential of becoming permanent in the future.
Salary: Β£34,569.60 per annum (40 hrs per week) - Β£16.62 per hour
Hours of Work: Rotating 3-shift system:
- Week 1: 5am-1pm
- Week 2: 1pm-9pm
- Week 3: 9pm-5am
Flexibility may be required in terms of moving shifts. Days of Work: Monday to Friday
Responsibilities:
- Greeting drivers at start of shift, handing out keys and paperwork, checking details
- Tracking vehicles en-route, reporting any delays, time changes or problems to senior staff
- Talking to drivers en route and checking load description
- Route planning and adjusting
- De-brief at the end of shift, take back keys and paperwork
- Driver and vehicle management
- Answer any driver queries
- Download driver digicard
- Other duties as required
- Infringement management
- Data entry
Qualifications:
- Transport industry (or similar) experience is essential
- Ability to work a 3-shift system (mornings/afternoons/nights)
- Solid work history
- Excellent work ethic
- Flexible attitude
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office/Word/Excel) β essential
- Own method of transport is essential or you must live locally
