We're looking for experienced and reliable HGV Class 1 Drivers to join our growing retail delivery operation based in Hatfield. If you're a professional driver who takes pride in delivering excellent service and wants consistent work with competitive pay, we'd love to hear from you.
The Role:
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering retail goods from the distribution centre to stores across North London, Essex and Kent. Your responsibilities will include:
- Completing store deliveries safely and efficiently.
- Transporting predominantly palletised loads with minimal manual handling.
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and reporting any defects.
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed accurately and on time.
- Completing delivery paperwork and maintaining compliance with transport regulations.
- Delivering excellent customer service at every location.
Average shift lengths are 8–12 hours, depending on your route, with regular start times and ongoing work available.
Requirements:
To be considered, you'll need:
- A valid HGV Class 1 (Category CE) licence.
- A valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card.
- At least 1 year's Class 1 driving experience.
- No more than 6 penalty points (no major endorsements).
- A good understanding of Drivers' Hours, Working Time Directive and road transport legislation.
- A professional, reliable and customer-focused attitude.
