Rapier Employment is currently recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to join a well-established logistics operation in Castle Donington.
With both day and night shifts available, you can choose a start time that works around your availability.
All shift patterns include at least one weekend day.

- £19.51 per hour PAYE
- £29.26 per hour PAYE OT
- £21.86 per hour including holiday pay
- £32.79 per hour OT including holiday pay
- Saturday – £21.84 per hour / £24.57 including holiday
- Sunday – £22.88 per hour / £25.64 including holiday
- NIGHTS
- Start times between 15:00 and 21:00
- £21.82 per hour PAYE
- £32.73 per hour PAYE OT
- £24.57 per hour including holiday pay
- £36.68 per hour OT including holiday pay
- Saturday – £24.15 per hour / £27.06 including holiday
- Sunday – £25.19 per hour / £28.23 including holiday

The Role
As an HGV Class 1 Driver, you'll be responsible for delivering goods to RDCs and retail stores across the region.
This is a hands-on driving role involving cage deliveries, tail lifts and some physical work, making it ideal for drivers who enjoy staying active while on the road.
Key Responsibilities
- Completing deliveries to RDCs and retail stores
- Unloading store deliveries using cages and tail lifts
- Carrying out daily vehicle checks and defect reporting
- Ensuring all deliveries are completed safely and efficiently
- Maintaining compliance with drivers' hours and transport legislation
What We're Looking For
To join us as an HGV Class 1 Driver, you will need
- A valid HGV Class 1 (C+E) licence
- A valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- A minimum of 3 months' commercial driving experience – required for insurance purposes
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude
- Licence Criteria
- No DR10, CD10 or IN10 endorsements
- No more than 6 penalty points
